Ron Bennington Interviews: 09/04/11

This week on Ron Bennington Interviews, join Ron as he has conversations with five amazing guests– two great musicians, a prominent journalist, a brilliant actor, and a  young comic with a terminal illness determined to make his dreams come true– all airing on Stars Too this Sunday, September 4, 2011.

First, Ron gets surprised when one of our greatest living actors stops by to talk.  Don’t miss this incredible interview with the always brilliant Robert Duvall.  If you haven’t seen the long list of incredible Robert Duvall films, put that on your to-do list.  Here’s some just for starters- The Godfather 1 & 2, The Apostle, Lonesome Dove, The Great Santini, Get Low, Apocalypse Now, Tender Mercies, To Kill a Mockingbird, Colors, Mash, True Grit, and tha’t's just for starters.  He came in to talk about his newest film, out this weekend, 7 Days in Utopia.

Next Ron sits down with Tom Morello– who is not only an innovative and gifted musician (named one of Rolling Stone’s 100 top guitarists of all time) but also a singer, songwriter, and well known activist.  You know him of course as the lead guitarist from the group Rage Against the Machine, the lead guitarist of Audioslave, and now for his solo acoustic work as The Nightwatchman.  He comes in to talk with Ron about his newest album- World Wide Rebel Songs, which features the soon to be smash hit, Black Spartacus Suicide Machine.

Next, we play an interview with Perry Farrell, frontman for two great alt rock bands, Jane’s Addiction, and Porno for Pyros.  Perry stopped by to talk about the formation of his newest band, Satellite Party, and their debut CD, Ultra Payloaded.

We’re also playing an interview Ron did with journalist, radio show host and author Lou Dobbs, who anchored CNN’s Lou Dobbs Moneyline and Lou Dobbs Tonight for nearly a decade before moving the show to the Fox Business Network in 2009.   Lou stopped by to talk about the release of his fourth book, War on the Middle Class.

Finally, Ron talked with Steve Mazan, a young comic.  When Steve found out that he had cancer and might only have five years to live, he dedicated his life to reaching a childhood goal:  to perform stand up comedy on David Letterman’s show.  He came in to talk to Ron about his journey as well as the release of a new film documenting his story– Dying to Do Letterman.

Make sure you don’t miss this episode.  Ron Bennington Interviews airs this Sunday, September 4, 2011 on Stars Too on Sirius XM 104.  The show begins at 2pm in the east until 5pm.  A shortened version of Ron Bennington Interviews will also air on the Virus Channel on Sunday Night along with an episode of Unmasked.
