Ron Bennington Interviews: 07/31/11

This week on Ron Bennington Interviews, is truly a don’t-miss episode.  Ron picks four of the interviews that had the most influence on him as a host, and talks about why these four guests meant so much to him.  Don’t miss this great episode airing on Stars Too on Sunday, July 31, 2011.

Ron’s first pick, is the Academy Award winning director and producer Sydney Pollack (Out of Africa, The Firm, Tootsie, Absence of Malice, The Electric Horseman, The Way We Were) who came in a few years back to talk about Sketches of Frank Gehry,  a documentary he made about the great Architect.

Next, Ron selected his interview with talk show host and writer Dick Cavett who has won three Emmys for his outstanding interviews.  He has talked to just about anyone who is worth talking to in the course of his career and has been called “the most distinguished talk show host in America.”

Ron also picked his interview with singer-songwriter Bill Withers.  Bill who is best known for his iconic songs Lean on Me, Ain’t No Sunshine Just the Two of Us, and Lovely Day, came by to talk about a documentary covering his life and career– Still Bill.

Finally, one of Ron’s all time favorites– Emmy and Grammy winning singer/songwriter/musician/arranger/composer Randy Newman came in to talk with Ron, and play a few songs of the album he had just released, Harps and Angels.

Make sure you don’t miss this lineup of Ron’s most influential interviews, and him talking about why he picked these four.  Ron Bennington Interviews airs this Sunday, July 31, 2011 on Stars Too on Sirius XM 104.  The show begins at 2pm in the east until 5pm.  A shortened version of Ron Bennington Interviews will also air on the Virus Channel on Sunday Night along with an episode of Unmasked.
